Fall? Wood crate, wood words, and thanksgiving

As I write this, it is 27 degrees Celsius (81 degrees Fahrenheit!)
Despite that, we made some wonderful fall projects for club last night.
I wanted to go with a "farmers market" theme, so I went WAAAAAY out of my comfort zone and bought the wood crate and matching stamp set "Wood Words".

i wanted to start by highlighting our ever popular Daisy Stamp set.  Many projects have been made, but a lot of them are springy or summery.
This falls firmly in the "autumn" category in my books. It uses always artichoke and crushed curry, two colors that sit on my shelf patiently waiting for September then can adored and used for 4 months and soon forgotten.
Simple, effective card. We used the wood background stamp on this one.

Next we built the crate with the AMAZING wood textured paper.  I can't get over how amazing it is!

Then we made two 3 x 3 mini cards with the matching stamp set "wood words" (heads up: it's 15% off coming up October 1st to October 10th!)

Lastly, since Thanksgiving in Canada is early October, we made a PERFECT hostess card.  It's SO simple! We used the new leaf punch, and neutrals as well as a little sparkle paper.
I took this idea from Mary Fish. If you haven't ever checked her out, be sure to at stampinpretty.com!
One of the VERY creative teenagers in our group did this instead:
Such a lovely way to completely change the look of the same card!
Happy Thanksgiving, Canadian Friends!
And for the rest of you, happy fall!
