Sorry you're Leaving Global friends Bloghop #9

Well, this is my second bloghop, and it's been so fun!
Sometimes, when it's the year end of a catalogue, i'm okay, because I know exciting new stamps and products will be coming. This time, I'm losing a BUNCH of my favorites... but I do know that this STILL means current, on trend products are coming, so i'm trying to look at the bright side.
One of the bundles i'm sad is leaving is "Foxy Friends". You can still get this amazing set and DSP paper until the end of May, or while supplies last! The bundle will save you 10%!!!! if you get it before the end of the month... but don't worry, the stamp set and punch will still be available to purchase.
I am sad to see a lot of the bundles that will save you leave us.
I love that you can make so many different animals with it:

so cute! And that's just with the punch.
For club we made a fold that I've found is a great go-to: it's a simple gate fold card.
You cut it at 4 1/4 x 11, then score it across at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2, and you've got a card that fits the regular A4 envelopes, but is still really wow!
This one is with peekaboo peach and smoky slate, as well as the DSP that will be leaving us.
Secondly, we made a raccoon card, that looks like a photo strip!

And, as a sneak peek, take a look at one of my cards for a birthday stamp a stack I have coming out at the end of the month:

Thanks for looking!

Easter Basket Bundle Bloghop 8

I'm on my first bloghop!

I have loved stampin' up for almost 10 years (I know this because I was pregnant with my first born when I was first introduced to it and FELL IN LOVE).
But I just think that it's such an exciting time to be into paper crafting, because there are so many more options, and it's so easy now.
For instance, the Basket Bunch. For $60, you can buy the entire stamp set AND matching framelits.
Here it is:

 So many fun options!
Here's the first card we made.
Our colours are smoky slate, so saffron, wisteria wonder, and pool party.  We cut out the circle with the framelits. And we REVERSE EMBOSSED the card, by cutting out the eggs in the same colour and gluing ON TOP.
Fun, right?

Second card is:
We used tip top taupe (which if you love, get it before it retires and sells out!) and mint macaroon (also retiring) and peach and flirty flamingo, as well as so saffron for the grass. We made our own DSP with the eggs in the set and also the same colour ink. And we used a fun punch to punch out the label that says "happy easter" (that's from the stamp set "Teeny Tiny Wishes".

And lastly we made a little basket to carry 3 foil eggs!

that was much simpler than it looks. The instructions are in Dutch but they are easy to follow all the same! Click here to learn how to make it.

Saleabration and Tasty Trucks

Anyone who knows me knows i LOVE food trucks. Like, love love.
So when I discovered the FOOD TRUCK FREE STAMP SET in Saleabration I almost fell out of my chair!
We made a super fun pull out card for stamp class last month.  The tag pulls out of the side! I'd like to play around with the dimensions and figure out a way for it to hold a gift card!

And when you pull it out, there's the cake!!!!

I LOVE the ice cream shoppe retro color palate of Pool Party and Real Red! I used the DSP from my valentine's leftovers, which works awesome cause of the scallops!
I learned how to make this card here .

TFL!

Lift Me Up Bundle Easel Card

Sometimes it takes me a few looks before I fall in love with a product.  And sometimes, at first glace, i know I have to have it.
The lift me up Bundle didn't take any warming up to... as soon as I turned the page in the Occasions catalogue, I knew I needed this bundle.
It's just so fun.
And for club this month, we've been doing basic A4 cards for a while now, so I wanted to introduce a new fold.
it's simple and also very effective. It's known as an Easel card.
I took this amazing design from Angela McKay (click here to link to her blog post)
And adapted it to the supplies I already have (I don't have the new circle framelits yet) and voila!

I also have a confession: I have had the color "night of navy" for 8 years, and I don't think i've ever used it in a card.  Like, the card stock was still in the wrapper.
And wouldn't you know, it works awesome! Even as a neutral (think "jean", and how it goes with everything).
That's one of the things I love about getting Stampin' Ups DSP (designer series paper), it tells you what colors are in the paper and you base your project on those colors!
Brilliant. AND you can get this DSP for FREE when you purchase this bundle! But only until the end of march.
This is a close up of the balloon... it took me a while (and an email) to figure out the background of the balloon, and it's just framelits that are included!
So fun.

here are the directions for a square easel card:
And the view from the side!

Thanks for looking!

Stampin' Up's Sealed with Love for Valentines Day

Do I really need a new valentine's set? Was my first thought when I saw the new "sealed with Love" bundle in the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.
Well, after our club this week, I can say "yes!" with full confidence!
It's SO SO fun.
Here is the bundle (you can also just by the stamp set, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the envelopes and other shapes that come with this set):

We couldn't just make ONE card this month, because it was much too fun.
here's the first card:
Card Stock: tip top taupe
blushing bride
pool party
Stamp sets: sealed with love
gorgeous grunge
To make the white strip we just used the stamp from gorgeous grunge.

This one was really fun to make, because for each of the 12 mini envelopes you could do something different in them.
I got this card idea from Jennie Thompson (you close all the envelopes and give it away that way:)

We used Crumb Cake and the more typical valentine's colors for this one.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stampin' Up's Occasion Catalogue 2017

The new occasions catalogue is out, and I have to say, I truly think they outdid themselves this time.
There are so many things I love!!!! Especially the bundles.

For starters, the balloon pop up thinlits dies ($44.00) #142753 is super affective for a young birthday card.
Here's a card made with them:
Pretty fun! Thanks Jeanie Stark for the great idea.

And who cannot love the cupcakes and carousels suite.  The Stamp set carousel birthday is SO SO cute! And only $23.00 for the clear set! (#142832.
Here's the images:
love this by Wendy:

And obviously I HAVE to get the air balloon bundle, "life me up" for $59 for 16 stamps and 15 dies for my big shot.

The options are truly endless!

I love the sealed with kiss bundle and the basket bunch bundle, but will be highlighting those later on.

And there are several other things I LOVE in the new catalogue, but NONE as much as the "Chase Your Dreams" Stamp set... because they have the Disney Castle!!!!!!!
Oh my word, so so excited.

There aren't too many images out there yet with it, I'm not sure the Disney Freaks like me have caught on yet!
Here's one I found:

What's your favorite part of the new catalogue?

Beautiful You

Every once and a while stampin' up puts out a new stamp set that i'm like: Do i like it? hate it? Hate to love it? Love to hate it?

There's one that didn't catch my eye at all when I was first flipping through the new occasions catalogue (more about that later this week!) and yet it seems to be EVERYWHERE on pinterest, blogs, and google.

So I'm dying to hear what you think.
Here it is: $34.50 for 13 stamps.
Here are some projects I found using it:

This is by Mary Fish (if you've never checked out her blog, it's a must!)

Handmade by Heather:

By Tracy May:

This one is quite stunning (couldn't find the original on pinterest)

And a whole class based on the one set

Now I'm dying to know. Love or Hate? Comments welcome :)
