Seasonal Fun: Bloghop with global stamping

Welcome to the next stop of the Global Stamping Friends!

Christmas! It's Christmas time!  Man the fall went in a blink and here we are in CHRISTMAS already!
I've made lots of cards for Christmas, but I really want to highlight my favourites from the Stamp-a-Stack I did. I had over 30 people make stacks of these cards over 3 days.
It was so merry!

The first was with the bundle "making Christmas Bright".  I really like it because there is another stamp set called "making everyday bright", so with the two stamp sets you really do get a lot of use out of these sets.

This is with the green "granny apple green".

And with classic "Real Red"

I used "staz on" black because it gives the crispest coverage in my opinion. We used the Stampin' write markers to color the lights.

The other 3 cards are here:
Joy To the World is using "hometown greetings" edgelits and coordinating "hearts come home" stamp set. It's simple but time consuming to pre cut 150 cards!

The middle card is using a bunch of odds and ends.  The snowflake is from the "blizzard" plate, and the foil is using Swirly Scribbles, and the beautiful branches are from "first frost".  I just LOVE that merry merlot makes this pop.

The last card is using a favorite big shot framelits set of mine: Coffee cups.  The snowflake is also from the blizzard die.  The background is embossed and the pop of color is pool party! I didn't realize how much I LOVED pool party with a little read red.

Which is your favorite card?

Tropical Chic Bundle

Well unfortunately i didn't get this out in time for summer, but it's better late than never right?

My favorite new bundle, hands down, is the Tropical Chic. As soon as I saw it, i knew I HAD To have it!

For our summer club (we only meet once during the summer because it's always so crazy to coordinate holiday schedules) we made 2 cards with this set!

This first one I really wanted to do the leaves white and then have color behind... i've seen a couple with color on color, so i wanted to do something really different.
 Here's the inside:

We used Coastal cabana and basic grey and calypso coral.

The next card I saw used DSP, and i decided to do it ourselves instead, so we used stamping off to get different shades.

These colors are blush bride, mint macaroon and smoky slate.

Such a fun bundle! I'm so happy with it and can't wait to play with it more.

Varied Vases

I've had a chance to play with the new stamp set and matching punch "varied vases" and i'm having a ton of fun!
I love that it can be playful or simple and elegant.
It's nice to find a stamp set that also works for a variety of occasions... this one works for a house warming, birthday, anniversary, sympathy, you name it!

This card is a perfect "pillow" note.  I used my envelope maker to make the perfect envelope.  Just with basic old computer paper! I love that you can make envelopes of any size.

This is a new color (petal pink), one that came with the refresh, and I really like it! Especially with sahara sand... a color I don't reach for a lot!

Stamp set: Varied Vases
Ink: Staz On (best black ever, i'm so happy it's back! It makes the crispist images)
       Petal Pink
       Sahara Sand
Markers: Petal Pink
Cardstock: whisper white, petal pink, sahara sand and then vellum sheets
Punches: vases builder punch, leaf punch

This next card I did for my open house in June.  I always buy the variety pack of the new in colors for my open house, and i had the BEST time using those brights with this card!

Those colors are pineapple punch, lovely lipstick and grapefruit groove!
Same stamp set.

I got the texture on the bottom using a texture embossing folder with the big shot called seaside texture... man i've used that folder a LOT!

If you're in the surrey area, i'd love to have you join my monthly club! We make the cutest projects, all for free when you buy product every month.  We have a blast and it's a nice way to start out with stampin' up when you're not sure where to start.

Thanks for stopping by!

Let the Good Times Roll

One of the stamp sets I was really excited about that i FINALLY got my hands on is called "Let the Good Times Roll". It has matching framelits dies that makes a really effective, stunning 3D roller coaster!!!

It sure was fun!

And it was surprisingly easy.  It took a while, don't get me wrong... but it was fun to throw on an old episode of friends and get all the pieces together.

What kid wouldn't LOVE this card?
I also can see that it will be fun to use for scrapbooking as well (although not the 3D version).

The outside of the card is simple, and understated... then they open it up and BAM!

I used navy blue as my neutral, and then the new granny smith apple for the base.  I complimented it with Grapefruit Grove and Pineapple Crush.

Global Stamping Friends Bloghop #20:That Little Bit Extra

Hello and welcome to the next stop of Global Friends! Thanks for joining me.

Well, this month we are all about highlighting those little details that make a card really POP!

This card features a few special elements:
To get the mermaid facing the other way, we stamped directly ONTO a clear block, then rubbed it to create a mirror image! Pretty simple.  We did have to use a black stampin' write marker to define the lines a bit.

- Glitter paper (this specifically coordinates with the stamp set I used, Magical Day) from the occasions catalogue... it comes in a big pack with clear, blue and green glitter paper
- framelits that coordinate with the stamp set (they are called "magical mates" and they make this a cinch! If you don't already have a big shot, I can't emphasize enough how it makes your projects both easier and more detailed and amazing).
- sponge brayering (stampin' up a couple years ago made sponging/brayering super simple by making a sponge on a roller, essentially)
- embossing folders (for backgrounds they are a quick and effective way to get texture on your card!)
- wink of stella (this creates a beautiful shimmer when you hold the card... it's addictive!)

Here's what I used for the card:
Stamp Sets: teeny tiny wishes, magical day
Card stock: pool party (double layered), tranquil tide and lemon lime twist
Ink: pool party, Archival Basic Black, rich razzleberry
Tools: Magical mates framelits, seaside and softly falling embossing folders, watercolor pencils
Extras: glitter paper, wink of stella for the mermaids, brayer

Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to check out the rest of the amazing projects in the bloghop!

Global friends bloghop #18

welcome to the next stop of the global friends bloghop!
This months topic is LOVE and I’m so excited to share a very simple pop up box card with you!
What I love about this project is it looks super laboursome and difficult and it’s simply not.

You just start with a half sheet of our real red paper (5 1/2 x 8 1/2). You score it across at 2, 4, 6 and 8. Then you flip it and score it at the half mark. You cut off one of the small tabs, and then cut along the creese of the three folds. Then simply put sticky strip on the tab and stick together. Fold down the 3 flaps and voila!!!! Then put a z fold piece in the middle of the “box” so you can have 3 layers of pop ups.
I used the adorable and only available through saleabration stamp set “party pandas”, as well as the sweetheart punch from the clearance rack.
You can get this stamp set for FREE by ordering $60 of any product you want! Order by March to get yours or it’s gone.

We had so much fun making this impressive card (it folds into a regular envelope even) and we know the recipient will feel so special.

Thanks for stopping in!
