Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop #16: Festive Celebrations!

Welcome to the next stop of the Global Stampin' Friends Blog Hop!
This one is called "Festive Celebrations".

This is my favorite time of year, and also the busiest by far.
i've done not one, not two but THREE Stamp a Stacks this year, and also My Christmas Club Where we made 3 beautiful cards.

Here are the Stamp a Stack cards:

I tried to do one for everyone... a little rustic Christmas, a little classic Christmas, a little trendy Christmas.
For Club we HAD to use the fox stamp set and make a reindeer!!!
I used the folliage from "merry Cafe" and also "Daisy Delights" for the background, and then the sentiment is from teeny tiny Christmas!

Lastly we did a shaker card with embellishments from the clearance rack, window sheets, and layered circles.  The trees are embossed in white in the background.  The only thing not current is the little birds.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Thanks for stopping by.

Global stamping friends blog hop 15

Welcome to my stop of Global stamping friends! This is our 15th blog hop, Anything but a card.
Welcome! I am in Surrey, BC, Canada, which is close to Vancouver

Well, it's November 3rd.  We officially have snow on the ground.
And that means CHRISTMAS!!!

This is what i'm looking at as I write this:

I know that a lot of people say it's too early, but hear me out.  In two weeks and two days, I have 15 people coming over for Christmas baking, and making a stack of Christmas cards, and i've been doing this for at least 5 years, and it really kick starts the season for my customers to come into a house that's all head to toe decked out.

So, with that in mind, what i've been working on, is a tea advent calendar!!!  We have this tea shop called "David's Tea", and they have this wonderful Tea Advent... but it's $45! And I just can't justify that. SO! I went over to the local Craft store (ahem, Michaels), and found these for $20.

It is 24 jewelry containers, and a magnetic countdown board, and a roll of magnetic adhesive. THEN was the fun part!!! I dumped out all my old and new DSP and covered each of the jewelry containers with two circles, two different sizes.
My favorite is our glitter paper and our new Be Merry Christmas DSP! see if you can spot it in there.
Here's a close up.

And then each of the little containers you put a scoop of tea in, and you've got yourself a unique gift for you (or a friend!)
And the completed project:

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall? Wood crate, wood words, and thanksgiving

As I write this, it is 27 degrees Celsius (81 degrees Fahrenheit!)
Despite that, we made some wonderful fall projects for club last night.
I wanted to go with a "farmers market" theme, so I went WAAAAAY out of my comfort zone and bought the wood crate and matching stamp set "Wood Words".

i wanted to start by highlighting our ever popular Daisy Stamp set.  Many projects have been made, but a lot of them are springy or summery.
This falls firmly in the "autumn" category in my books. It uses always artichoke and crushed curry, two colors that sit on my shelf patiently waiting for September then can adored and used for 4 months and soon forgotten.
Simple, effective card. We used the wood background stamp on this one.

Next we built the crate with the AMAZING wood textured paper.  I can't get over how amazing it is!

Then we made two 3 x 3 mini cards with the matching stamp set "wood words" (heads up: it's 15% off coming up October 1st to October 10th!)

Lastly, since Thanksgiving in Canada is early October, we made a PERFECT hostess card.  It's SO simple! We used the new leaf punch, and neutrals as well as a little sparkle paper.
I took this idea from Mary Fish. If you haven't ever checked her out, be sure to at stampinpretty.com!
One of the VERY creative teenagers in our group did this instead:
Such a lovely way to completely change the look of the same card!
Happy Thanksgiving, Canadian Friends!
And for the rest of you, happy fall!

Bloghop 12: kids Cards

Welcome to the last stop on the global stamping friends blog hop!

Because it's summer and scorching hot, for this months club I wanted something refreshing, fun, and inspiring.  And every kid I know loves ICE CREAM!!!

These cards use the "cool treats" stamp set and matching framelits!
There are a lot of cutouts, but I think it's totally worth it!
 So cute, right???
The first is simple using the stamp sets "Work of Art" and the "cool treats".  The colors are flirty flamingo and soft sky! It was cased from craftysentiments on pinterest.
This one was the most difficult, because I saw something similar on pinterest, but then could never find the actual dimentions.  What I did was cut it to 10 1/2" long, and then cut it on an angle in half to make TWO cards with one piece of card stock!
This one is CASED from Julie Kettlewell from the UK!

It's hard to tell in the picture, but I also put some wink of stella on the Popsicles to make it extra special for that kid in your life!

Lastly, is this fun card!!!! Stacked up with a bunch of scrap subtles, and the crumb cake on the side I ran through the big shot.
I really love the rainbow sprinkles!
This one is cased from Jacquii McLeay.

This is the end of the bloghop, thanks for stopping by!!!!

Hello New Friends global friends Blog Hop #10

Welcome back stampers!

The best time of the year is here for crafters... and no,it's not Christmas... it's new catalogue time!!!
Every year, I make myself a latte, and sit outside and browse as slowly as I can to savor the moment.

There are a bunch of exciting things in this new catalogue... one of the most understated but I think very sweet bundles is the daisy delight stamp set and matching punch!
Simple looking,right?
Well here's a card I put together in less than 10 minutes!
Don't you also just LOVE the new clear gems???
And this pink is one of our new in colors called powder pink. I know I'm going to use it over and over again in my girls baby scrapbooks!

Thanks for looking!

Sorry you're Leaving Global friends Bloghop #9

Well, this is my second bloghop, and it's been so fun!
Sometimes, when it's the year end of a catalogue, i'm okay, because I know exciting new stamps and products will be coming. This time, I'm losing a BUNCH of my favorites... but I do know that this STILL means current, on trend products are coming, so i'm trying to look at the bright side.
One of the bundles i'm sad is leaving is "Foxy Friends". You can still get this amazing set and DSP paper until the end of May, or while supplies last! The bundle will save you 10%!!!! if you get it before the end of the month... but don't worry, the stamp set and punch will still be available to purchase.
I am sad to see a lot of the bundles that will save you leave us.
I love that you can make so many different animals with it:

so cute! And that's just with the punch.
For club we made a fold that I've found is a great go-to: it's a simple gate fold card.
You cut it at 4 1/4 x 11, then score it across at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2, and you've got a card that fits the regular A4 envelopes, but is still really wow!
This one is with peekaboo peach and smoky slate, as well as the DSP that will be leaving us.
Secondly, we made a raccoon card, that looks like a photo strip!

And, as a sneak peek, take a look at one of my cards for a birthday stamp a stack I have coming out at the end of the month:

Thanks for looking!

Easter Basket Bundle Bloghop 8

I'm on my first bloghop!

I have loved stampin' up for almost 10 years (I know this because I was pregnant with my first born when I was first introduced to it and FELL IN LOVE).
But I just think that it's such an exciting time to be into paper crafting, because there are so many more options, and it's so easy now.
For instance, the Basket Bunch. For $60, you can buy the entire stamp set AND matching framelits.
Here it is:

 So many fun options!
Here's the first card we made.
Our colours are smoky slate, so saffron, wisteria wonder, and pool party.  We cut out the circle with the framelits. And we REVERSE EMBOSSED the card, by cutting out the eggs in the same colour and gluing ON TOP.
Fun, right?

Second card is:
We used tip top taupe (which if you love, get it before it retires and sells out!) and mint macaroon (also retiring) and peach and flirty flamingo, as well as so saffron for the grass. We made our own DSP with the eggs in the set and also the same colour ink. And we used a fun punch to punch out the label that says "happy easter" (that's from the stamp set "Teeny Tiny Wishes".

And lastly we made a little basket to carry 3 foil eggs!

that was much simpler than it looks. The instructions are in Dutch but they are easy to follow all the same! Click here to learn how to make it.

Saleabration and Tasty Trucks

Anyone who knows me knows i LOVE food trucks. Like, love love.
So when I discovered the FOOD TRUCK FREE STAMP SET in Saleabration I almost fell out of my chair!
We made a super fun pull out card for stamp class last month.  The tag pulls out of the side! I'd like to play around with the dimensions and figure out a way for it to hold a gift card!

And when you pull it out, there's the cake!!!!

I LOVE the ice cream shoppe retro color palate of Pool Party and Real Red! I used the DSP from my valentine's leftovers, which works awesome cause of the scallops!
I learned how to make this card here .

TFL!

Lift Me Up Bundle Easel Card

Sometimes it takes me a few looks before I fall in love with a product.  And sometimes, at first glace, i know I have to have it.
The lift me up Bundle didn't take any warming up to... as soon as I turned the page in the Occasions catalogue, I knew I needed this bundle.
It's just so fun.
And for club this month, we've been doing basic A4 cards for a while now, so I wanted to introduce a new fold.
it's simple and also very effective. It's known as an Easel card.
I took this amazing design from Angela McKay (click here to link to her blog post)
And adapted it to the supplies I already have (I don't have the new circle framelits yet) and voila!

I also have a confession: I have had the color "night of navy" for 8 years, and I don't think i've ever used it in a card.  Like, the card stock was still in the wrapper.
And wouldn't you know, it works awesome! Even as a neutral (think "jean", and how it goes with everything).
That's one of the things I love about getting Stampin' Ups DSP (designer series paper), it tells you what colors are in the paper and you base your project on those colors!
Brilliant. AND you can get this DSP for FREE when you purchase this bundle! But only until the end of march.
This is a close up of the balloon... it took me a while (and an email) to figure out the background of the balloon, and it's just framelits that are included!
So fun.

here are the directions for a square easel card:
And the view from the side!

Thanks for looking!
